Recruitment reform campaign moving forward in Asia

English

On 13-14 August 2015, civil society from more than 50 Asian countries met for two days in Bogor, Indonesia. The meeting was organized by MADE Asia and the Open Working on Labour Migration and Recruitment, led by Migrant Forum in Asia. Participants discussed priorities for the next phase of the Recruitment Reform campaign and towards the upcoming Global Forum on Migration and Development.

The meeting built upon a number of campaigns, online discussion and publications initiated by the Working Group and has finalised two policy briefs: Recruitment Fees & Migrants’ Rights Violations and South Korea’s Employment Permit System: A Successful Government-to-Government Model?

These policy briefs are the result of continuous collaboration among Working Group members. To join and provide input to ongoing activities, visit the MADE website for further details on the Recruitment Reform campaign, sign up to receive regular updates from the group via email and join the conversation via Facebook and Twitter.
