3rd Global Mayoral Forum on Human Mobility, Migration and Development

English

The 3rd Global Mayoral Forum on Human Mobility, Migration and Development took place in Quezon City, Philippines from 28 to 30 September 2016.

Are diaspora and migrants obliged to make contributions to their countries of origin, and is it fair to see diaspora and migrants as dollar bills? AFFORDs Stella Opoku-Owusu opened her intervention with two challenging questions for the participants of the Dialogue between Mayors and Civil Society Representatives during the 3rd Global Mayoral Forum on Human Mobility, Migration and Development in Quezon City, Philippines in September. Along with AFFORD, which is the coordinator of the MADE Working Group on Diaspora and Migrants in Development, another MADE partner, Migrant Forum Asia (MFA) was an active participant in the event. See more information about the Mayoral Forum here, and read AFFORDs full intervention here.
