Webinar - Diaspora and Migrants as Entrepreneurs and Social Investors: Creating an Enabling Policy Framework

As part of preparations for the Global Forum for Migration and Development (GFMD) 2015, which will take place in Turkey from 12 to 16 October, the Global Working Group on Diaspora and Migrants in Development, coordinated by AFFORD, would like to invite you to its first webinar on ‘Diaspora and Migrants as Entrepreneurs and Social Investors: Creating an Enabling Policy Framework’.

This webinar builds on the discussions and recommendations that emerged from the 2014 November webinar on ‘Migration, Entrepreneurship and Development’, some of which included the need to establish partnerships, build stronger networks and create evidence-based data that helps with assessing impact and attracting more resources.

The webinar will look at challenges and solutions from both the perspective of diaspora and migrants enterprises on one hand, and policy makers on the other, in supporting such initiatives.

The outcome of the discussions could assist in shaping the Working Group's future advocacy strategy around diaspora and migrant entrepreneurship.

How to participate:

The webinar will be held in English, from 4pm to 5pm (GMT+1).

Register before 12pm noon (GMT+1) 11 September 2015, providing your name, job title, and organisation you work for, by contacting:
