The High-level Thematic Debate on Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Financing (11-12 April 2016) is convened by the President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Mogens Lykketoft and is one of the three high-level meetings held during the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 70).
This meeting will endorse Member States to present the actions they further intend to take upon for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular those related to sustainable development, climate change and financing. The aim is to mobilize and catalyze individual, collective, multilateral and multi-stakeholder action to support all initial progress on realizing the sustainable development goals and climate action.
