New Coordinator and Secretariat for the Action Committee!

We are very pleased to announce that M. Colin Rajah has been appointed as the new Action Committee Coordinator. A longstanding civil society leader and thinker, he brings along a wealth of experience, knowledge, and energy to lead the Action Committee as it moves towards a new model of civil society engagement. Colin was most recently the Civil Society Liaison for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) throughout the Global Compact for Migration process in 2017-2018.

We are also very proud to say that Ms. Roula Hamati from the Cross-Regional Center for Refugees and Migrants (CCRM) in Lebanon will be seconded to the Action Committee by INSAN/CCRM. She will act as a Senior Adviser, focusing primarily on the UN Migration Network. Roula was also centrally involved in the negotiations of the Global Compact for Migration, in addition to being the MENA regional civil society focal point, including being the principal organizer of the MENA Regional Civil Society Consultation on the Global Compact in 2017.  She was also the moderator of the Puerto Vallarta Civil Society Stocktaking Meeting in December 2017.

Both Colin and Roula are former GFMD Civil Society Days' Chairs;  Bangladesh 2016 for Colin, and Morocco 2018 for Roula. We are very delighted to welcome them to the Action Committee Secretariat.
