Protection of migrants on the move and in transit

The 6th and last MICIC regional civil society consultation, organised by the Global Coalition on Migration (GCM) and MADE, will take place in Nairobi (Kenya).

The purpose of the briefing is to provide an update on the MICIC Initiative, which will develop by September 2016 non‐binding, voluntary principles, guidelines and practices to help states and others to better protect and assist migrants caught in countries experiencing conflict or a natural disaster. 

The High-level meeting on global responsibility sharing through pathways for admission of Syrian refugees will be held in Geneva on 30 March.
