Civil Society's Stockholm Agenda

English

Civil Society's Stockholm Agenda was launched in the aftermath of the May 2014 Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) Civil Society Days and has garnered support from 300+ organisations worldwide.

Civil Society's Stockholm Agenda calls for migrants:

  1. To be incorporated explicitly in the new 15-year “Sustainable Development Goals” that the UN General Assembly will adopt in late 2015
  2. To be protected by solid rights-based policy frameworks
  3. To be recognised as powerful actors for human as well as economic development

MADE, through the dedicated Global Governance of Migration and Development Working Group and civil society worldwide, will continue to advocate with national governments and the UN to ensure that the goals in the Agenda find a place in the outcomes of the negotiations for the Sustainable Development Goals.
