MICIC government consultation for the MENA region

The North Africa and Middle East consultation will be one of the key regional consultations that will be organised as part of the MICIC initiative in Malta.

The Migrants in Countries in Crisis (MICIC) initiative is a State-led undertaking which seeks to improve the ability of States and other relevant stakeholders to increase the protection and decrease the vulnerability of migrants affected by crisis situations. Co-chaired by the Governments of the Philippines and the United States, the MICIC initiative aims to distil Principles, Guidelines, and Effective Practices through a broad consultative process that engages with States and regional actors, civil society, including migrants and diasporas, the private sector, and international organisations.
