The South American Conference on Migration was established in 2000 and aims to provide a platform for regional discussions on a wide range of issues within the larger topic of migration in South America.
Its current priorities are:
This year the Conference will be held in Santiago de Chile on 8-9 September 2015.
The website is currently under review, but you may find more information about the event through the website of the Technical Secretariat, held by IOM’s Regional Office for South America (link in Spanish).
MADE Americas participated actively during the 2014 Conference, held last October 2014, by sharing a set of key recommendations drafted in consultation with a wide group of civil society organisations active in the region.
